Dr. Robert Plenge is a member of the Board of Directors of Beeline Medicines and the Executive Vice President and Chief Research Officer at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), where he leads the company’s global research organization. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Alltrna and the PhRMA Foundation. He previously served on the Board of Translate Bio. Prior to BMS, Dr. Plenge held senior research leadership positions at Celgene and Merck & Co. focused on translational medicine, genetics, and drug discovery. Earlier in his career, Dr. Plenge practiced academic medicine and conducted research in human genetics and immunology at Harvard Medical School and the Broad Institute while serving on the faculty at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Plenge received his M.D. and Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University and holds a B.S. from University of California San Diego.
Dr. Badreddin Edris is President and Chief Operating Officer of Beeline Medicines and brings deep experience building and scaling biotechnology companies from drug discovery through commercialization. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer of SpringWorks Therapeutics, where during his tenure, he played a central role in capital formation, strategic partnerships, operational scale-up, clinical development strategy, two global regulatory approvals and launches of category-leading medicines, and ultimately, the company’s sale to Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany.
Previously, Dr. Edris was an investment professional on the private equity team at OrbiMed, where he focused on venture investments and company creation, including co-founding Silverback Therapeutics and Edgewise Therapeutics. Earlier in his career, he was a management consultant at Bain & Company, advising pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. He currently serves on the Board of Edgewise Therapeutics and as a Venture Partner at The Column Group.
Dr. Edris received his Ph.D. in genetics from Stanford University School of Medicine, where he was an NSF research fellow.
Dr. Nathalie Franchimont is Chief Medical Officer of Beeline Medicines and brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in drug development across biotechnology and large pharmaceutical organizations. A physician-scientist by training, she has led programs spanning discovery research through early- and late-stage clinical development, global regulatory filings, and medical affairs across multiple therapeutic areas and modalities. Most recently, she served as Chief Medical Officer of Nimbus Therapeutics. Prior to Nimbus, Dr. Franchimont spent a decade at Biogen, where she last served as Senior Vice President and Head of the Multiple Sclerosis and Immunology Development Unit and held several other leadership roles across the research and development organization.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Franchimont held clinical development and medical affairs roles at Amgen. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of OMass Therapeutics.
Dr. Franchimont trained as a rheumatologist and received her M.D., Ph.D. from the University of Liège, Belgium and has conducted research at St. Francis Hospital/University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, and the University of Liège where she was also Chief of Clinic in Rheumatology.
Dr. Kristin Patterson is Chief Technical Operations Officer of Beeline Medicines and has more than 25 years of pharmaceutical and biotechnology experience with expertise in Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC), regulatory affairs, supply chain logistics and commercial manufacturing. She previously served as Chief Technical Operations Officer at SpringWorks Therapeutics, where she built the CMC and Technical Operations functions and led the teams to FDA and EMA approvals and successful commercial launch of two novel, best-in-class therapies serving rare disease and oncology indications.
Prior to SpringWorks Therapeutics, Dr. Patterson held leadership roles at NephroGenex and Mycovia Pharmaceuticals and spent more than a decade at GSK, where she led global, cross-functional teams and provided CMC leadership to development programs from lead optimization to product registration and launch.
Dr. Patterson earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Stanford University and her bachelor’s degree from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Daniel Pichl is Chief People Officer at Beeline Medicines, where he leads the company’s people and culture strategy, overseeing organizational design, talent attraction and development, and total rewards. Most recently, he served as Chief People Officer at SpringWorks Therapeutics, where he played a key role in building and scaling the organization from a U.S.-based clinical-stage startup into a commercial-stage company with operations across multiple geographies.
Prior to SpringWorks, Mr. Pichl held senior human resources leadership roles at Siemens Healthineers, including Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources for the company’s global ultrasound business. Earlier in his career, he held positions of increasing responsibility within Siemens, where he focused on culture and leadership development, organizational design, and global HR transformation initiatives.
Mr. Pichl holds a Master of international business from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, and a Master of psychology from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany.
