Nicholas Downing, M.D.

Dr. Nicholas Downing is a member of the Board of Directors of Beeline Medicines and a Partner at Bain Capital Life Sciences. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Cardurion Pharmaceuticals and NewAmsterdam Pharma. Prior to joining Bain Capital, he was a resident physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where he provided inpatient and outpatient care and conducted health policy research focused on hospital quality and drug regulation. Earlier in his career, Dr. Downing was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, advising pharmaceutical, healthcare, and financial services organizations. He has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications and earned his M.D. from Yale School of Medicine and his B.A. in chemistry, magna cum laude, from Harvard University.
